Hopewells Oak Finish Bookcases
Coming Up: Hopewells Oak Finish Bookcases
Just picked up these lovely little oak finish bookcases by Hopewells of Nottingham. They need a little love with loose joint, sad old coating marked by their years of use. Two of the clever little shelf support are broken so those will need to be repaired or replaced. These are going to look super cute when they are done.

Don/Airest Furniture 3 Piece Lounge Suite

The guys picked the Solar Weave chocolate: With a nice chunky weave it's one of the fabrics that I love using on my sets. It sits well against the mahogany and presents beautifully. I have used the orange version on my own set
Their response : "We are sooo thrilled with our 3 piece. Looks great in our homes- a novel new way to buy (choosing the furniture's new clothes) and was well received by us."

Special little lounger

She's all done, I had waited such a long time to work with one of these so it was a little self indulgent to take so much time with it, but I loved (almost) every second. What a fab design. Each little angle, each little change of material where wood meets fabric, where fabric meets leather, where leather meets wood. Inspired
Someone else thinks it's inspired, it made it onto the front page of Trade Me - My first ever 'Cool Auction'.

Time Out....
Anyone waiting to see the upcoming items...There has been a bit of a delay. I decided to take a little time out to sort out various jobs I have been tripping over for the last few months... all those little bits & piece you think "I'll get to that tomorrow". Well, tomorrow arrived. Hoping to get back on schedule this week. PS those cute little Parkers I picked up, may have been joined by a 3 seat couch. Watch this (slowly moving) space.

All done, I took the old seat cushion apart and replaced the worn section with some fabric that had a complimentary tone and weave size. It is such a little cracker and has held itself together so well over the last fifty years I thought it only fair to treat it will the lightest hand.

Danske Møbler rocking chairs
SOLD: Danske Møbler rocking chairs.
The chairs are complete and I'm loving their new look. The subtle two tone, the sharp finish to the upholstery design, the fabric I found for the cushions, the wood bases all spic and span. These certainly are a fine pair, and the photos speak for themselves except for how comfortable they are.
