I think he's all done.  I decided to go mono tone in a neutral grey that can be accented to fit in with any decor.  The button detail and the wood touches are just enough detail to let him stand out in any setting.

Saturday 30th November

All I can say is thank goodness for Ellie Goulding live at the Troubadour and little revisit of Moby's  album Play (was that really fourteen years ago!) both of which kept me sane as I plugged away removing all the old upholstery.  Some time later, naked furniture.  I had already removed the wood work and spent yesterday sanding till it shone.  Time to re-clothe this little beauty.

Thursday 28th November

There is no makers mark on this but if it isn't a piece from Airest it's doing a very good impression of it.  The legs, the shape of the side table, the style of upholstery all match.  One thing I hadn't seen on one of their daybeds before is the flip top back.  What a brilliant idea!

When you are using it as a sit up couch the shaped back rest gives nice support.  When you feel a little snooze coming on you just flip the back rest away to give a little more room, pop a cushion at the end and pretend you really are going to read the next chapter of that book you've been meaning to finish.

This just arrived 10 minutes ago but as I am waiting for other bits & pieces to finish other projects this little beauty has just gone straight to the top of the list.  Here we go, so excited.
