Bent Ply & Rimu Floor Lamp
Finally got the bent ply cylinder construction to work and the Rimu legs were cut and shaped from recycled stock.
This lamp gives off a lovely gently glow. The slatted nature of the shade gives this piece a sculptural presence during the day but as day turns to night it is the light filled voids that become dominant. The curved angles of shade is reflected in the outer curve of the legs these are both accentuated by the strong straight lines of the inner leg and cylinder edge.
