Well
after 4 days of sanding the frames have had the first coat of oil
applied. On arrival inspection there was no damage to the frames or any previous 'repairs'. The old coating however, was beyond restoration, which is always a
shame. That said, there is also something lovely watching the wood come
back to full potential. A few loose joints had to be re-set. New
foam has been ordered, and
now comes the common internal fight for me... do I go with the original
style split back squab setup or a single back piece (that I tend to
prefer)?
