SOLD: 60's/70's Airest Sofa/Daybed.
Just given this a second coat of oil. It was another full restore of the frame, with all the wood sanded, joints reset, broken hinge replaced etc etc.
The outer mahogany frame has been oiled, while the inner lighter wood frame has had a coat of sealing stain and then oiled. I love the simple bullnose shape of the front legs. Not sure I particularly liked the ply back when I first saw it, but it has really grown on me. This style has an overall functional look, dead simple and honest. I could see it in a retro/industrial place where 'what you see is what you get'.
